seared scallops

last week's busy schedule left me with a bunch of pictures to be blogged. here we have last thursday's dinner. Dan's favorite multigrain was cooked ala risotto.. it is a blend of lentils, israeli couscous, orzo and quinoa with mustard seeds, simmered with onions and vegetable stock. Scallops quickly marinated in salt, pepper, lemon zest, paprika and orange marmalade then seared on a cast iron pan.
